- The Inside Track Archives
Every month we send our members The Inside Track e-newsletter filled with trends, tips, and the opportunity to learn from people like you trying to build their church's ministries. Some of this information is based on the current times, but much of it is timeless. Here you will find all the past issues, which you can browse at leisure.
- Handbook Template
We've put together a template that contains several potential pages for your handbook. Examine each section and read our rationale for the importance of each page. Then download the pages you want (being very sure of your reasoning for leaving something out!) and customize them for your church.
- Archived Tips of the Week
Each week we feature a brief volunteer leadership tip on our home page. Some of them are from a publication, but many of them are from our members. Here you will find, brief, practical ideas covering all aspects of lay ministry.

- Staying on Mission -
Jun, 2008
At the recent Exponential Conference, pastor Rick Rusaw said the key for leaders to keep their ministries on mission is PGA. This excellent three-step process has nothing to do with professional golfers.

- Training the New Breed of Volunteers -
Sep, 2008
In many churches, retired boomers are our greatest potential for recruitment. Often these individuals worked as teachers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, or professors. Add to the ranks a growing number of young, single professionals eager to make a difference, and we have some high-capacity volunteers.
Do we really ask the high-capacity person to attend our volunteer training programs—programs that are often led by other volunteers? Tom McKee says, "Absolutely! But we need to do it with finesse."
- All or Nothing Safety -
Nov, 2008
"Many ministry groups within the church will provide their own child care for their meetings. Are we still liable since their functions are not a part of our children’s ministry?"
- They're People, Not Tools, Part 2 -
Dec, 2008
At the end of 2007, Andee Marks resolved that she was going to love her people more than her ministry. She wrote an article for the February, 2008 issue of The Inside Track describing four key resolutions she'd made for the coming year and how she was going to implement them.
She began the year excited to approach team development from a different perspective. It was a wonderful opportunity to try a new method of shifting their ministry culture to a more biblical approach. This month, Andee reports back on how those resolutions went and what we can learn from her experience.
