What is the TeamCVC Equipping Network?

TeamCVC Equipping Network

TeamCVC is a collaborative gathering of leaders dedicated to supporting and encouraging one another along their leadership journey.  Scripture tells us that “two are better than one.”  In ministry the synergy that comes from a group can be more productive than what is accomplished alone—plus it’s more fun!  TeamCVC was launched to help church leaders grow together as they learn and implement new principles of equipping people within their individual ministry context.

Often church leaders fall into the trap of doing ministry rather than equipping others to serve. As leaders begin to model equipping values and systems they may begin to think they’re the only ones using this style of leadership. The challenges can seem overwhelming, and frustrations grow as many arrive at questions such as, “What do I do next?” or “How do I overcome this roadblock?”

Team CVC to the rescue!
In an effort to assist leaders in developing these communities of support and encouragement, Group’s Church Volunteer Central created TeamCVC. When equipping leaders realize they’re not alone—and that others have traveled the journey (and survived it!) it brings new hope and energy. As they connect with other leaders who are building an equipping culture, individuals are encouraged to continue this path. Leaders learn from each other and can grow together in their equipping knowledge. They’re able to network together, share resources, encourage one another during challenges, and celebrate the successes.

Our Vision
The vision of TeamCVC is to create face-to-face communities to support church leaders who effectively equip people for ministry. TeamCVC offers training, ongoing support, and resources galore!

The TeamCVC Advantage
In a TeamCVC Regional Network you and your group will experience these benefits:

  1. REAL, ongoing, hands-on training. TeamCVC groups will receive quarterly learning experiences that you’ll be able to download and use immediately with every member of your group. Training will feature Group’s R.E.A.L. approach to learning:
    • Relational—Group’s resources encourage learners to interact with each other, which makes learning more effective AND helps build Christian friendships.
    • Experiential—With Group’s resources, learners don’t just listen or read— they actually experience the lesson. So biblical principles stick with them up to 9 times longer!
    • Applicable—Every resource incorporates life application, because Christians should be both hearers and doers of the Word.
    • Learner-based—Different people learn in different ways, so Group’s resources provide a variety of methods to draw people closer to Jesus.
  2. Networking and community. TeamCVC members will receive support and encouragement through the community they establish with each other and the Church Volunteer Central staff.  You’ll belong to a community where you matter and your participation is valued.  You’ll be in the loop with ideas, resources, contacts, and events as information is shared among regional networks across the United States.
  3. Take home resources. At each TeamCVC meeting you’ll take home resources that you can use in your ministry.  The learning experience will be scripted and reproducible so you can lead the training with your team at your church. Other take-home resources may include articles, forms, gizmos, and product samples.
  4. Integrated Networks. Independently facilitated TeamCVC groups will be part of a national organization. Each group will use an integrated learning cycle that follows a three year path. Groups will have access to online forums and information. Email updates will be sent to all TeamCVC networks to create a larger online community of equipping professionals.

  5. Publicity and marketing. Each TeamCVC group will be listed on our web-based locator map.  Contact information will be posted for each group to assist people in finding a group to attend.  Church Volunteer Central can also provide a list of member churches in your area so you can invite other local participants. You’ll have use of the TeamCVC name and branding identity.
