Many church leaders I talk to would answer a loud Yes to this question. Being responsible for church volunteers is a unique and daunting challenge. Working with people is our ministry, yet it is often the silent ministry in the church that fuels the frontline ministry—youth, children’s, worship, adult ed, etc…. The pressure to deliver a stellar program or successful event often falls on your shoulders. Let’s face it, volunteers make or break an event…and YOU are responsible for preparing those volunteers!

Recently, a community outreach coordinator planned a fall yard clean up day for low-income residents in the neighborhood. Everything was lined up, but when it was time to get working, only 20 people came to help, well short of the 100 who had originally signed up. The leader was disappointed to say the least! It’s people like this—people just like you—that we are able to come alongside to provide support and encouragement…as well as practical tips to ensure a more successful outcome.

This is why we are so excited—and vocal—about getting you to the LifeServe Conference! It is the lifeline you need to endure the tough times of ministry. Time is running out; so we hope you will prayerfully consider joining us this year…and bringing your team, too.

I’ll leave you with this thought:

For God is not unjust so as to overlookyour work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.” (Hebrews 6:10)

Be encouraged! God is well aware of your service and has promised to help you! Together we can make a difference in our churches and communities, through the lives of our volunteers. They may not always remember to say Thank You…but we will. Thank You for serving the kingdom and choosing to let your life count.
