Wednesday is Grillin’ Day at Group. The chef in our cafe had a great idea to fire up the grill once a week and offer a BBQ-style lunch. So far…it’s been awesome. With the one draw-back that once she fires up the grill, you can smell it throughout the building and it gets us talking and thinking about BBQ–not work! It’s such a simple idea; but it has contributed to an even greater sense of fun and camaraderie we share. We have a good time during lunch, sitting on the patio and chatting as we enjoy the sunshine!
There’s something about a grill and good food that draws people together. With summer just getting started, consider how you could use these same tools to build unity and bond your team closer together. Maybe after a Sunday service you could host a cook out at the church. Or once a month invite everyone to meet at a park or your backyard for an informal time of fellowship. What a simple way to draw your team closer together and keep everyone plugged in during the summer…
Be sure to share your pictures on our Facebook page…and we’ll do the same! Happy grilling!
