@Andee- May Day was huge in my neighborhood. I remember handing them all out...and then coming up with more people to give them to, running home to make more until every bit of popcorn and candy was gone. I love the paper cone idea! I have tons of scrapbook paper, too...

In the past I have purchased small budding flowers and
put on a little card "for all you do, this "buds" for you".
I have made a pan of bars and invited everyone to a cofee break and we spend 15 minutes or so sharing a treat and fellowship time. I have put signs on their desks that say
GOOD JOB (valued member of the team etc) so when they come in in the morning....it is the first thing they see. What a great idea to do it for May Day. Thanks for sharing !!

Wow! I didn't think anyone else even knew about May Baskets, Sue! I've shared my childhood memories with a few people lately and no one had every heard/done this. My mom loved to wallpaper so we always had pieces left over. I would roll them up into a cone, cut a handle and staple to the top, and fill with flowers. I'd hang them on the doorknobs of my friends' houses. In thinking about it recently, it occurs to me that scrapbook paper would work wonderfully well. There are so many fun colors and designs to choose from!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
