“For a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and promising one]…”
1 Corinthians 16:9 AMP

I love when God opens doors. Just this week, I was praying for an open door in a certain area and 48 hours later he answered with an opportunity! Of course, it doesn’t always happen this way. I realized though, that maybe more doors don’t open because I don’t ask. Sort of like, You have not…because you ask not.

Here are a couple of things I learned this week. They may not be rocket-science, but they are good to remember…

  • God wants to open doors for us.
  • God wants us to use our gifts–and often presents open doors to encourage us to do that.
  • We can’t know for sure what’s waiting on the other side of the open door. But we do know for sure that God has gone before us and will be there with us!
  • Ultimately, it’s up to us to take a step of faith through the door.

Perhaps there is an area of your ministry that you would like to see expanded; or areas you would like to venture into. Why not ask for an open door today and see what happens?
