“In reality we all have time to do what we want to do. People will make time for their passions. And passion is what volunteering is all about. I don’t know about you, but this statement convicts me. There are a lot of things I want to do and yet I have trouble finding the time to do them. All because I’m too busy. Perhaps what is lacking is not actually time, but passion.

I have learned over the years, that passions can diminish. But they can also be re-ignited!

Remembering our first passions,

Talking to people who are doing what we dream of doing,

And taking a first step into our passions can help stir up that desire and drive to actually get up…and do something!

It’s not just our people who need this reminder. As leaders, we must continue to fan into the flames the reasons we started serving in the first place…
