The words “That’s not my job” are rarely heard here at Group. Seriously, I can’t remember ever hearing them. Maybe once or twice (and that may have been me! Just kidding!) While I’m sure they have been uttered, it is not something that comes up often. More likely, you find people who are more than ready to jump in and help, regardless of position or title.

2. Tear down the walls.

Knowing “we are all in this together” celebrates that God has called us to work together; that no one will succeed alone. Whether you are a large church or a smaller one, you probably have walls in your ministry. “Tearing down the walls”  address the silo mentality head on.

Getting people to embrace these two statements may take effort. Yet there are things you can do to build a spirit of unity and cooperation! Check back tomorrow for some specific ideas you can use right away…

What do these statements mean to you? Which would be harder to communicate and live out in your current ministry role?
