You WON’T succeed alone.
That’s a strong statement, I know.
But the truth of the matter is, you won’t.
None of us will.
And there are no exceptions.
Dr Phil, trained psychologist and now television personality, shares that he studied over 1000 case studies of people deemed successful in their chosen fields. Not one of these people did it alone.
Every person testified that they could not have acheived the level of success they had without a strong team and support system, whether that be family, collegues, or a faith community. In most cases, it was a combination of all three.
This ought to put to rest our idea that we can accomplish what God has called us to do without enlisting the support of others.
We need people on our team. And they need us, too.
As 2012 gets under way, consider how you can strengthen your current supports or develop new ones. Maybe there are other leaders who could use your encouragement and support. Ask God to bring these people across your path, and as always, share your thoughts on the CVC blog!

Not only do we (leaders) need people on our team, our team leaders also need people to help them lead their teams. Often times we see a leader who comes out of nowhere and does a terrific job, only to burn out. Every time it happens for the same reason – they’re running on their own strength and they don’t have co-leaders involved. Thanks for the good reminder. We ALL need folks helping us along the way.
